Landed in Cannes!!

Today was a great trip to Cannes, Nice, Monaco, and Eze, France.  Eze was magnificent!!  The pictures are incredible, but I can't get them to work again.  This hopefully will change.

A day in Barcelona

Wednesday, September 16th we ported in Barcelona and had a wonderful day touring this great city.  We took an upper deck bus and saw all the sights and had Tappas in this great restaurant on "The Rumba" which is a large shopping area in down town Barcelona.  Thursday we will tender to Cannes, France.

Today we visited Lisbon, Portugal and saw many beautiful sites with castles, cathedrals, churches, statues, and even an aquaduct.  Unfortunately, there was lots of grafiti even on churches.  The bay has a large Christus similar to Rio de Juniero and a bridge build similar to San Francisco.  There is even a tower designed by Gustof Eiffel in city center.  Off to Gilbralter, UK.

I have been having difficulty adding pictures because the icon for add them is not on the blog!! Oh well, we have been through England, France, Brugg and Amsterdam, Roddedam and yesterday we went to Normandy. The French really owe us big time for that great feat, but I think they forgot! The town of Honsfleur was awesome. I think Walt Disney got his inspiration for parts of Disneyland from this city. We Rented a car and I DROVE IN FRANCE. Thank goodness for GARMIN!! Amsterdam was great and we got to see Anne Frank home, which was very touching. We are having fun and if the pictues work, they will come.

September 3, 2009

Day 2 and we had a great day. Walked to the Grand Palace and the Petite Palace and viewed the museum. Then went to Lourve and saw the Mona Lisa and lots of other great paintings and Satues. Had a fun lunch and went to Notre Dame. What a building! Then we got real lost and had to take a taxi back and just in time because Cheri and Cary had just got in about 7:30 at night. Going out for a light supper and dessert. One needs a lot more time in this city, it is the greatest!!!!!
